You do NOT need to be straight in line with the trailer for hitching up. The tow vehicle can hitch up from UP TO a 85 degree angle in relation to the trailer.
When hitching, does the tow vehicle need to be straight or can it be 30 degree angle from the trailer? ProPride 3P Trailer Sway Control Hitch
Assuming the parking spot is angled and need to hitch up, can you be off to the side ? how much play do you have for hitching up? My parking spot in the driveway is not straigth on and i need to back up at an angle to hitch and unhitch the camper trailer.
